I was simply an animator working on the scenes shown (therefore; if you find the material offensive, be aware that it was written by someone other than myself). This is a sample of the rough work we hand in to our animation director for approval. The mouths are composited in later. I chose a few of the sequences that I had the most scenes in.

3D model of a biker I am working on. I know...how predictable of me, a Harley lover, to make this kind of character! Ha ha ha

I am still in the beginning stages of the model. I did a few quick sketches of the basic shape of him first. Then, I used the sketches as reference while beginning to sculpt the model in Maya.

I only have a few quick renders to show. When I post pictures of him a little further along in the process, I will set up the proper lighting, I promise.

It seems strange to think we can possibly forget what happened in the past, since we are going through war today. Based on that, I just drew a quick little sketch that I might colour if I have time. My cousin is in Afghanistan and my prayers are with him to come home safely.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on behalf of Wing It Productions for enjoying our stop-motion film that we created this summer.

We had a great time creating it and it was great to see everyone react to it positively. Thanks for your support and suggestions to enter it into festivals!

I'm glad we were able to make everyone smile on our first day back to school!

Stop Motion Project

As most of you know, I already completed my internship last summer. So...this summer I decided to gather a group of people interested in stop motion to test out making a film in this type of animation. It became our major summer project and fulfilled their requirements for an internship. We visited Cuppa Coffee and had a lot of support from them. Thanks to Dave Thomas, in particular, for that fantastic tour of the studio. We were very inspired!

So...without further delay, here are pics of what we have been working on...

These are some life drawings from the past 5 weeks. I will update the ones I handed in for portfolio review when I get them back. I was playing with colours in a few of them, so they lack a little in structure, but were very fun to play with.

All of the uploads from today's postings are life drawings from last year and this year. They are a mixture of gestures, short poses, and longer poses. Most of them deal with experimentation on colour, lighting and drapery...all the aspects we are concentrating on this year. We are now trying to not only be able to draw what we see, but incorporate our ability to analyze the figure and portray it in the following ways: structurally sound, use of good design elements, and a sense of character. The practice continues.....
